World Armagnac Awards 2026: three of our Armagnacs at the top

Cloud & Clet Hors d’Âge named World’s Best Armagnac, the Blanche crowned Best VS and Collection Laoué 1998 Best Millésime: a landmark year for our house.

Run by the World Drinks Awards, the World Armagnac Awards bring together Armagnacs from many producers, tasted blind by a panel of professionals. The 2026 results honour three Vinifera cuvées from two of our brands.

Cloud & Clet Hors d’Âge, the world’s best Armagnac

A blend of eaux-de-vie aged fifteen years and more in French oak casks, Cloud & Clet Hors d’Âge was named World’s Best Armagnac 2026. It also won the X.O. & Hors d’Âge category (Best X.O. & Hors d’Âge) with a Gold medal, plus a Silver medal for its bottle design.

The Blanche, best in its category

Unaged, Cloud & Clet Blanche Armagnac was named Best VS with a Gold medal. It follows the Grand Or in the Blanche Armagnac category at Les Talents de l’Armagnac 2025 and the Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole, Paris 2026.

Collection Laoué 1998, an exceptional vintage

Bottled at cask strength (54.6% ABV), the 1998 vintage from Collection Laoué was named Best Millésime with a Gold medal, and received the World’s Best Armagnac Design title for its presentation.

A shared achievement

These awards recognise the work of our vineyard, cellar and production teams. They show that an Armagnac can be true to Bas-Armagnac and resolutely contemporary at the same time.
